July 4th Celebrations Galore!

Looking for a place to view July 4th fireworks on the Suncoast?  You won’t have to travel far and you have a buffet of locations from which to choose.


  • Fireworks over Sarasota Bay – View by boat or from Bayfront Park and Island Park or any where downtown.  Begins at dusk/about 9pm.  FREE.
  • Marie Selby Botanical Gardens – Watch the Fireworks over Sarasota Bay and enjoy an All-American barbecue.  Food and fun starts at 6pm.  Bayfront fireworks begin about 9pm (bring your own chairs/blanket for viewing.)  Members $17, non-members $20, kids under 11 free.
  • Siesta Key – Display is launched near the pavillion and volleyball courts.  View by boat or anywhere on Crescent Beach and north past the main public beach.  This 24th annual display is a local favorite.  Begins about dusk/9pm.  FREE.
  • Sarasota Sailing Squadron’s Liberty Day Regatta and Family Festival – Ken Thompson Parkway, City Island.  11am-5pm.
  • Patriotic Spectacular – Choral celebration of America.  First United Methodist Church downtown, 4:30pm.  Adults $35, Students $15.


  • Fireworks are launched from the Venice South Jetty.  View by boat or anywhere on Venice Beach or Nokomis Beach.  Starts at about dusk.  FREE.
  • Mayakka Kayaka 4th of July Jam Blast – Various bands/musicians at Snook Haven, 11am-4pm.  No cover charge.

Longboat Key – Annual Freedom Fest Parade, plus fun, food, drinks, and butterfly release afterward.  Children can join the fun by dressing up and walking with their pets. Bicentenniel Park next to Town Hall.  9am-11am.  FREE.


  • Fireworks over Manatee River – Fireworks launched by the City of Pametto.  View by boat or from the Bradenton Riverwalk or along the river in Palmetto.  After dark/9pm.  FREE.
  • Join the Bradenton Marauders for baseball, music, and fireworks at McKechnie Field.  Gates open at 5:30pm, game time 6:30pm, concert and fireworks after the game.  Tickets are $6-$8.

Palmetto – Concert in Lamb & Sutton Park, along with food and craft vendors.  Viewing of the Fireworks over Manatee River after the concert.  FREE.

Anna Maria Island

  • Privateers Annual 4th of July Parade from Coquina Beach to Bay Front Park, followed by a live music, food, and fun at AMI Beach Cafe.  10am to 4pm.  The parade is free.
  • 28th Annual Sandbar Resaurant Fireworks Spectacular
  • Fireworks display launched at the Beachhouse Restaurant after dark, the weather allows. Fireworks viewing is FREE.

Englewood – The Englewood Firecracker Festival.  Fun, food/drink vendors and live entertainment.  Festivities begin at 10am on Dearborn Street.  Fireworks over Lemon Bay after dark.  Admission and fireworks display are free.
